Operations / EQUIPMENT
Treasure Valley weather can change quickly, so BSI keeps a full range of equipment and materials on hand to respond to any winter storm event. Our fleet includes plow trucks, spreaders, sprayers, and skid loaders, allowing us to clear your property efficiently and effectively.
Our available deicers include rock salt, calcium chloride, and magnesium chloride, in both liquid and granular forms. On parking lots, we primarily use liquid calcium chloride and salt brine. On sidewalks, we use granular products.
Boise Snow & Ice is fully insured, carrying a $2 million general liability policy, workers' compensation coverage, and commercial auto insurance. You can rest assured that your property and your business are protected.
We invoice after each service. Every contract is tailored to the client's needs, and we offer both per-occurrence and flat-rate, all-inclusive seasonal pricing.
Every time our trucks service your property, the visit is logged and the record is retained for at least five years. Each log documents the type of precipitation, the temperature, and the service provided, giving you accurate information whenever you need it.
Preseason Preparation. Before winter operations begin, we perform a site inspection of each property to document any existing damage and note changes to parking lots or walkways. Where needed, we place markers so our crews can clearly identify the lot's boundaries under snow cover, which reduces the risk of property damage and improves results.
Weather Monitoring. BSI monitors the weather 24/7 and tracks forecasts several days in advance, using GPS and specialized weather applications to keep our information accurate and current. This allows us to adjust our plan for each event as conditions change.
Post-Season Close-Out. When winter ends, we conduct a final inspection and remove all markers and equipment from your property.
